Well, truth be told, we were never really gone, just busy.
So, what’s been happening to us since last we spoke? Well, we started selling our products in a great local boutique, we sponsored our first Turkey Trot and our business on public speaking picked up significantly. We had a few good friends help us focus our public speaking efforts on investor relations, corporate communications and entrepreneurs and since then we have been quite busy. We even started a series of local workshops on Public Speaking with Story this month that has been a ton of fun and enormously eye-opening. It is the highlight of our business to help other people tell their stories, and these workshops do that in spades.
Each one of those things above took quite a significant amount of effort to get started, so our blog had to take a back seat. I am sorry about that. I think I we have enough of a handle on things now that we can get back to regular blogging.
I still devour books like crazy, and I found so many great books to not only share on this blog but also to help us grow our business. I can’t wait to share those with you. Also, we are starting something new with all of our content. We are going to create weekly themes. What does that mean? Well, I will still blog twice a week, but one will be about storytelling, and one will be about our business. The rest of our content will all focus on the same theme. For example, this week is about connections. This week you will see a blog, tutorial and cheat sheets all about creating connections.
I think this will help us go deeper on certain topics and help our reader disseminate it in whichever way they prefer. Like everything in this business, we will see how it goes and adjust as needed.
I hope you had a fantastic Holiday season and it was everything you wanted it to be. I especially hope you all saw the wonderful warm weather we have had in Denver. We have taken full advantage of it and gone on many adventure hikes with the boys. We even saw an Elk about 20 feet away and a baby rattlesnake 2 feet away. Never a dull moment.
Here is to great stories,
